Keynote speaker, Bjorn Ihler, shared his story of surviving mass violence. Bjorn is an academic, activist, technologist and storyteller working to end extremism. He is influenced by his experiences as a survivor of the attack on Utøya in Norway on the 22 July, 2011 and subsequent work with experts and former extremists.  Click for more information.

The Parent Connect program partners with immigrant & refugee communities by organizing mothers who are interested in building community. We work with women who desire a deeper and more effective engagement in the world and support our participants in determining the resources, learning, and networks they need.
